Ong-goings

Spring Flings

Easy, breezy.

The life of a kiddo (w/ parents tagging along?): playdates, bounce houses, time with friends, trains, festivals, parties, RC cars, farmer’s markets that have been popping up around town, ATV’s, events, books, treats!

We made our annual appearance at Firefly Run which was recently acquired by Uncle Dan. It was nicknamed “Uncle’s Party” by E and party we did with 6500+ other folks! E danced, jogged, scootered, cheered, ate, drank, glowed and ran into new friend AJ, trying to nab her bike for a few (stationary) rides. :)

On Easter weekend, we went to an outdoor Good Friday service. We also got to check out a neat-o cars and bike show, much enjoyed by both Daddy and son. After church on Sunday, one of mommy’s friends hosted a private egg hunt and piñata party… E exerted much energy in hitting the handmade “army egg”. We felt bad that 5 hours of manual papier-mâché work by Auntie was destroyed in minutes. Haha. We also cracked cascarones which apparently E found scary.

Then came the pivotal, earth-shattering, unforgettable… DAY OUT WITH THOMAS. Lol. It is kind of insane how quickly tickets sold out (and what parents will pay for their kids). Elias was beside himself in excitement when he saw pictures. The train ride scenery (mostly flat fields and brush) was a little underwhelming for Daddy & Mommy but E probably had the ride of his life just knowing he was choo-chooing on Thomas. :) However, his absolute favorite part of the experience was riding all the bikes in the trike arena — be it Thomas or non-Thomas. We could not peel him away. Hmmm, no tickets required for that… Maybe we should have just gone straight there and just taken pictures with Thomas. Next time? He’ll probably be into something else by then!
