Go, Fourth

Happy Independence Day (after)!

We dusted off our bikes and rode to the Allen USA Celebration…

LE
Can you believe he can still fit in his Yepp seat? His legs are getting too long, though.

LE

He was very much looking forward to the animatronic dinosaurs but then got a little anxious when they looked so real in person!

LE

We could tell he was trying to suck it up and overcome his “fear”. :) There were a good number of them, much to our surprise. Then we played in the park for awhile and still had an hour to wait before the fireworks. E was impatient and wanted to cycle home so we didn’t catch the sparkles that night…

The long weekend was plenty full…

LE
Lots of soccer drama at this age! Haha.

LE
Are they holding hands???????????

LE
Some lazy river-ness. :P

LE
Celebrating a good buddy’s 3rd — more time in the pool and Hawaiian BBQ.

LE

On the 4th, we drove to Grapevine for a dinosaurs exhibit. It was small and consisted more of role playing as a dinosaur with their simulation technology. E was more impressed with the outdoor one in Allen.

LE

LE

We browsed some of the local shops on Main Street.

Then, got to try this shaved ice place that was closed the last time we were in town. We enjoyed chatting with the husband-and-wife owners and then some friends dropped in.

LE

LE
And of course, we had to bring home some Dr. Sue’s Chocolates! E was so happy they had dinosaur pops. :)

LE
After a long nap, we watched fireworks from a school near Oak Point. Just the right distance for E, with the booms all muffled from afar and the choreographed music turned up. :)
