The SD County Fair was back in full force. It’s def a bit different and smaller than the TX State Fair… had more of a hometown feel? The boys enjoyed it! Also, his previous Mandarin teacher had a booth for origami in the craft hall.

They did this ride like 3 times!

Summer has arrived… though we’re still in school.

Time for lots of pool time and brushing up on our swimming. :)

Then Ah-Gong, Ah-Ma, Auntie Glo, along with Uncle Dan came to SD after spending some time in TX. Took them on an evening stroll on Coronado Island overlooking DT SD.

Playing “sticks” w/ Uncle Dan while waiting for seafood in Point Loma. E goes WAAAAAY back w/ Uncle Dan. Like back until the minute he was born. ;-)

Tidepools were closed but grabbed a pic right by them.

Grandparents were tired so we took them back and then brought Uncle Dan on one of our fave hikes @ Black’s Beach.

Of course we had to take them to Children’s Pool for the seals.

Then Dad came along…

We actually had never done Sunny Jim’s sea cave so we thought it’d be fun to try with Uncle Dan.

We got some fresh coconut juice w/ coconut meat…

And fed some to the squirrels.

Took Uncle Dan to the driving range where E practices.

E teaching Uncle Dan how to chip.

Then we played mini golf. Hole in one on this one!

Afternoon picnic by the beach.

They loved the tacos here (more than TX!).

Tree climbing is another beloved past time.

They stayed with us and a few hotels around town to get a good feel for the city. Hanging out with them by the hotel fireplace.

The time went by too fast. Then it was farewell. ‘Til we see you all again… here or Asia! (They’re used to be all masked up in TW so we played it safe as well).
