Ong-goings

O Nine Divine

LE
WTH??? How did we get to NINE? It’s like yesterday we were just celebrating 9 MONTHS and here we are… Blessed by the boy he has become, is becoming – through his creativity, art, Legos, love of reading, tennis, golf, piano, swimming, hiking, snowboarding. You are jovial, joyful, friendly, fun, thoughtful… w/ a splash of teenager thrown in. :P Pace yourself in growing up, son. PUHHHH-LEASE?

LE
Low key little part-ay on a school night… He requested ice cream instead of cake again but we got him both and little surprises from near and far. :)

LE
Unique flavors for the special day…

LE
Science Day @ school!

LE
Couldn’t resist the ice cream truck.

LE
Trying to go to Legoland as much as possible before our membership expires… (Prob not going to renew this year as E might be outgrowing it a bit?). When we got there, the lines were a bit longer as it was the weekend so we decided to do Sea Life first as we hadn’t been in awhile.

LE

LE

LE
As usual, Mommy wants to eat these!

LE
Yo, dude.

LE
The sub from Undersea Adventure.

LE
Dad convinced him to do this coaster…

LE

LE
Something’s propping up. Share soon!

LE
And Spring Break, go!!! … to …

LE
Guess where? This pic encapsulates their personalities in entirety — Edison off doing the right thing and smiling @ the cam while John is bonking Elias’ head w/ a water bottle and Elias is torn between the two, haha.

LE
Caught the one show they hadn’t seen.

LE
Why oh why did you guys pay to play against each other?

LE
E won and the prize was a small Marvel plushie, which they all decided to give to J since he’s the big Marvel fan these days. Such good buddies!

LE
Edison introduced E & J to apple fries… minds (tastebuds?) blown!

LE

LE
Ended the day with some dabbing on Technic.

Beach 2 Mountains

LOVE the breadth of the nature we can enjoy here — from the oceans to the slopes and even in a single day at that!

LE
Still some hidden little beaches we are discovering…

LE

LE

LE

LE

LE
What more could you want? :)

LE
Spot the daddy/son duo!

LE

LE
Always that last crescent. Always.

LE
Legoland Hotel for J’s b-day. We still owed E one from the shutdown but J’s parents beat us to it… It was E’s first overnight and he had a blast. Lots of fun little details in the rooms and they woke up the next morning to a little scavenger hunt with a mini Lego set as prizes.

LE
Mommy and Daddy didn’t know what to do w/ ourselves so we stayed overnight, too. J/K. But it was odd not having him at home… Met up w/ them the next day in the park.

LE
Happy B-day, J!

LE
Back up to Big Bear on a day trip.

LE

LE

LE

LE
Our first try on the superpipe. E went up the sides a bit but Mommy went straight down the middle… Getting too old for that! :))

LE

LE
And another afternoon on the course…

Sat on a Seal

LE
Just a weekend walk by the cove… Strolled down to see the seals, sat on a rock that was NOT a rock — it started moving, turned around and reared its seal face to us! It was a bit terrifying but yet extremely exciting to be so close to sea life and thankfully, it didn’t seem like a mama seal that would do anything to defend its young.

LE
A (fake) mermaid and (real) seals. :P

LE

LE

LE
Churros from a street vendor and a sea gull eyeing it! :)

LE

LE
WHEN do we tire of these sunsets? Never, we hope!

LE
Just a boy and his thoughts… and Daddy’s ultimate friend on the far right on a sunset date. Man, if only we had this kind of scenery when we were dating (and free at that!).

LE

LE

LE
E’s elevating his taste in foods — hollandaise eggs benedict on avocado toast for “brinner”. ;-P

LE
Beautiful day on course!

LE
At school, doing school things. :) PC: Ms. Panda!

LE
Coach and Principal getting color bombed after the school reached a milestone in fundraising.

LE
Happy CNY! School opened its doors to visitors for the first time since re-opening for a CNY celebration.

LE
Daddy’s cousin visited from S’pore. They had CNY dinner with their uncle in Loma Linda and then he came to SD for a day. He and Mommy got to talk art…

LE
He took the Surfliner to LA and was wowed by the views!

LE
Daddy is playing a beach ultimate league … in the “winter”, in February. Shhhh, don’t tell his ultimate friends in Dallas where it’s mostly freeeezzzzing with an occasional 80 degree day thrown in (throwback to E’s 1st b-day party, haha).

LE
恭喜發財!

LE
紅包拿來… J/K, J/K!

Cheers to a auspicious Lunar Year of the Tiger!
