Ong-goings

iFly

H (well, his parents) threw a high-flying b-day celebration.

LE
We’d never been to iFly so it was a special treat. The boys all suited up!

LE
Classified briefing. ;-) (Too boring for J, lol)

LE
Waiting for their first flights. Saying a little prayer there, (other) J?

LE

LE
In the air w/ the instructor.

LE

LE
Ma, look, I’m flying!

LE

LE

LE
Eats post-flight.

LE
Watching the fun replays…

LE

LE
Happiest B-day, Happy, H-Man!

LE

LE
Cutest Star Wars cake! Made us think back to all the special b-day cakes we had made for E…

LE
Waiting for the sugar crash after cake and cake pops. ;P

LE
But first, the sugar high!

LE
And they still had energy to go swimming afterwards.

Thanks, Morgan’s, for such a neat experience!

Midsummer

… Day’s Dream?

LE
Kayaking under the Coronado Bridge was a first… We’ll always remember seeing this bridge from the airplane departing SD on vacations and wondering when we’ll be back next. :) Now we can come anytime?!

LE

LE
Then Daddy left to CO for a ultimate master’s tourney… Remember the trips that mommy and E tagged along? But they decided to stick around home this year.

LE

LE
Daddy played w/ his old Dallas team. Tough choice to go SD or Big D but he did practices w/ the SD players.

LE
Meanwhile, staying in town wasn’t so shabby either. Just hanging out on a playground by the beach on a Saturday afternoon…

LE
Tried a mini golf place… The last time he played was actually in SD, at Belmont. And they let him in for free since he was only 3. :D

LE

LE

LE

LE
Chill vibes. :)

LE
King of this Lego castle… for a moment.

Indoor & Outdoor Rock Climbing… And Film Camp Rocks!

LE
Thought we’d try some indoor rock climbing for a change…

LE

LE
Daddy belayed both mommy and son.

LE
As with most things, it turned out harder than it looks!

LE
E’s arms were pretty tired by the end of it but we’ll have to try another indoor gym soon.

LE
For now, back to outdoor climbing. :) Annie’s Canyon finally reopened after being closed for a long time due to the pandemic…

LE

LE
J didn’t follow up this high…

LE

LE
With how narrow parts of it got, we could see why they couldn’t really be open where no social distancing could happen.

LE

LE
The parents chatted and the kiddos played for a long while in this shady area…

LE
Love how they use nature to let their imaginations fly!

LE
A variety of fun camps are on the summer agenda… including film camp.

LE
Special thanks to the educators at MACSD for sending us photos and updates. GREEEEEEEN SCREEEEEN!

LE

LE

LE
Serious editing action going down.

LE

LE

LE

LE
Camera man!

LE
Gotta adjust those angles. :)

LE
And framing.

LE
Lego stop action… A test of patience!

LE

LE

LE
Lol, those “claws”! Side note: he started a business selling those dang things with another classmate who was in a photography camp with him. And yes, other kiddos paid real money to buy them. Props to these young entrepreneurs.

LE

Parents were invited at the end of each week to see their completed, edited works. And that’s a wrap!
