… Day’s Dream?
Kayaking under the Coronado Bridge was a first… We’ll always remember seeing this bridge from the airplane departing SD on vacations and wondering when we’ll be back next. :) Now we can come anytime?!
Then Daddy left to CO for a ultimate master’s tourney… Remember the trips that mommy and E tagged along? But they decided to stick around home this year.
Daddy played w/ his old Dallas team. Tough choice to go SD or Big D but he did practices w/ the SD players.
Meanwhile, staying in town wasn’t so shabby either. Just hanging out on a playground by the beach on a Saturday afternoon…
Tried a mini golf place… The last time he played was actually in SD, at Belmont. And they let him in for free since he was only 3. :D

Daddy belayed both mommy and son.
As with most things, it turned out harder than it looks!
E’s arms were pretty tired by the end of it but we’ll have to try another indoor gym soon.
For now, back to outdoor climbing. :) Annie’s Canyon finally reopened after being closed for a long time due to the pandemic…

With how narrow parts of it got, we could see why they couldn’t really be open where no social distancing could happen.
The parents chatted and the kiddos played for a long while in this shady area…

A variety of fun camps are on the summer agenda… including film camp.

Lol, those “claws”! Side note: he started a business selling those dang things with another classmate who was in a photography camp with him. And yes, other kiddos paid real money to buy them. Props to these young entrepreneurs.
Parents were invited at the end of each week to see their completed, edited works. And that’s a wrap!

VERY friendly butterflies, lovely florals and beautiful set-up at a Summer in Bloom event (along with a handmade market with local creators) in an outdoor plaza up north.

Outgrowing play structures?
Had the Liu’s over for dinner + fireworks show across the street for July 4th.
The spread… several places that we had planned on ordering from were surprisingly closed for the holiday (say what, so un-Chinese?) so we scrambled and thankfully found a couple of restos last minute.
They enjoyed being so close but boy was it loud!
Their parents + younger #3 (w/ headphones on) and daddy stayed further behind.
The finale is always the best but deafening.
