Ong-goings

Whale Hello There

We went on a local whale watch over MLK 4-day long weekend. Thankfully, it was a bit less stressful than the last one.

LE
It was so cool to spot some as the other one we only saw dolphins.

LE

LE

LE

LE
Go ahead, ask us again if we’re tired of these sunsets yet. Nope.

LE

LE
End of a Soccer Shots season… Our last one before starting league.

LE

LE
H, who lives super close to Legoland, met up w/ us for a little bit.

LE

LE
Daddy was super excited about the Bugatti built entirely with Legos.

LE

LE
It’s interesting, though, that when they go to Legoland together, they would rather chat and snack than do the rides. :D

LE

LE
Then after much convincing, Daddy finagled E to going on Technic again with him. Once (previously) was enough for Mommy!

LE

LE

LE

LE
Using the last of our PJ gift cards that we scored at one of the grand openings.

Mammoth

… looks like it’s becoming an annual tradition and our go-to/drive-to resort. :)

LE

LE

LE
This one has officially shunned ski school. :D He said he’s done w/ lessons and ready to shred all day, all mountain w/ Daddy and Mommy. Hrmmm… On the one hand, we felt proud and yay to not having to shell out an arm and a leg for lessons. On the other, hehe, so “Mommy/Daddy our time” is over. :P

LE

LE
Boarding as a fam was nice… Though we were moving slower and lots of patience was in order. :)

LE

LE
New face mask brought Ninjagoooooo vibes.

LE
He was pretty comfortable on blues, too.

LE

LE
Ninjago brows included. :))

LE
On a high-speed 2 person lift. Mommy snapped a pic on the lift behind.

LE
Woolly, we’ve missed ya!

LE
Jumping pics in snowboard boots is on a whole other level.

LE

LE
Daddy kept teasing that we weren’t catching enough air.

LE

LE
Up at the peak again. Can’t forget that just about half a year ago, the snow was up to the top of that sign and E was sitting on it!

LE
Can’t tell but it was crazy windy.

LE
But he was raring to go.

LE

LE

LE

LE

LE

LE
Then we made the entire trip back in one day with a stop for to-go Chinese in Riverside.

Got back Sunday evening right before second semester of school was starting.

Farewell to Another Decade

We set out to hike to the highest point in SD to round out 2019.

LE
It would be E’s longest hike of ~ 3mi. We weren’t sure if he’d make it all the up but he was raring to go and said he wouldn’t give up. :)

LE

LE
Of course a snack break was in order.

LE

LE
The views kept getting better and better as we ascended.

LE
Made it to the top and he was so proud of himself. We also spotted our neighborhood in the background.

LE
Keeping track of our peak photos for the 5-peak challenge. :)

LE

LE
Of course another snack break was in order. ;P

LE

LE

LE

LE

LE
Golden Hour is, will always be… golden.

LE
Said it before but there’s just something about California sunsets that is pure bliss.

LE

LE

LE

LE

LE
Dusk of another decade…

LE
Then it’s off to Mammoth for a week. Stopped by Mommy’s fave TW veggie resto on the drive up.

LE
He digs the shaved ice bar. :)

LE
We bought to-go Chinese while in SGV and gobbled up in our hotel in Bishop.

LE
Carbing up early next morn as it was straight to the slopes!

LE
Snowy peaks, we’re coming for ya.

Happy 2020!
