Uncle Jong, Auntie Pui Yee and the newest member of the Kao family, baby Ethan, were in town for a month.
E loved holding and hugging his cousin! :)
Though learning to handle a baby is an acquired skill, haha. Thanks for the UK souvenirs (London Police Helmet included), Uncle and Auntie!
Meeting Meet Fresh. ;-P
Sampled lotsa restos ’round town.
It was def a month of treats!
Gotta thank God for snow, ya know.
Family reunion at the mouse’s place. :) Almost all the cousins/aunties/uncles in the area made it!
And he played with them all.
Great Auntie asked if she could join his ride.
Glo looks pretty mischievous here.
Ah, the single uncles.
Tres kiddos here. :D
Partied with second cousin Micah one night.
All.the.sweets. First time trying Arabic ice cream + crepes. Millions of pistachios — Ah-Gong was in heaven.
Then Daddy tried to play airplane with the little dude and he was not ready to fly. Took a swipe at Uncle Yuee. Haha.
What is he throwing???
Double the uncle fun!
‘Til next family reunion. :)
That’s Auntie Gloria-ese for hot! :P
E&E triking at summer camp.
It’s been a {hotch} minute, Gymbo! It was National Day of Play @ Gymboree so we decided to take a trip down memory lane…
Remember when we were here like EVERY.DAY? :D (Well, not this exact location… The one we went to closed which was a natural end to our time there.)
He hadn’t completely outgrown the play area…
But didn’t quite feel like joining in the circle time.
Da Azn Crew @ Safari Run. :D Um, guys, we did not pay for ya’ll to sit and watch TV!
What we just said. :P
Quietly doing robotics at the library until the fire alarm went off and the fire truck showed up exactly 4 minutes later…
Chinese camp!
These two are inseparable. And is that photo-bomber girl stalking them? (See previous photo, hehe).
Took a day trip on the Fourth of July to Waco. First stop was the Mayborn Museum. Vroom, vroom at the special SPEED exhibit.
We all got a turn on this simulation and an adrenaline high.
Then we went through some of the permanent exhibits. This was a dinosaur print found in Glen Rose. Remember that time we “forded” a creek to catch dinosaur tracks there? :)
Mammoth bones under our feet.
E got a little spooked and wanted to be held. :)
He wasn’t a huge fan of the very real-looking animals in the dioramas either.
Very well done installations, though!
He adored Play Waco – role-playing activities built around area sights and places. A bulk of our time was spent here!
Yes, he came back to the fire truck a few times.
Son, you will never experience typing on one of these elsewhere.
Reunited with old friend, Bernoulli!
Weatherman says HOT with a chance of an upside down son. :)
We ventured upstairs and found more undiscovered rooms of exploration and play.
Daddy had a little too much bubbly fun.
It was late afternoon by the time we left the museum but we still wanted to check out Magnolia Market at the Silos. Can you tell who was hungry, tired and sweaty?
Mommy took a quick browse-through inside while the boys hunted for food outside. Only a few of the trucks were open since it was a holiday. The grounds and shop were very well-designed and would have been much better appreciated if not for the heat.
The bakery line seemed fairly short (apparently, it’s known to be long) on our walk out so we popped in.
He brightened up a bit after seeing the beautiful cupcakes. ;-)
Then, we hit the road — E knocked out immediately. After showering and dinner at home, we drove to the same spot as last year at Oak Point and watched fireworks from not-too-up-close, just the way E likes it. :))
Just following around this active socialite… ;P
At BFF Greyson’s b-day party…
Pretty much all their tokens were spent on this one shooting game.
Then straight to a Hatchimals dealio at TRU. You have to rub the egg before “hatching” them.
Elias’ first time trying poke. He surprisingly liked it!
Gabriel’s big 5!
Participated in Red Nose Day to fight childhood hunger.
Been back in the pool…
Rocking the rain boots on any day of precipitation. :)
Saw Walking with Dinosaurs. Very good! Wished it could’ve been longer…
Found this book to show Uncle Ji/George and his fiance, Momo. :D
And yes, this page actually came from the book… Of course he responded with, “Annoying!”
Dollar scoops from Baskin Robbins.
Ran into cousin Micah @ Music & Movement at the McKinney Library. It’s been awhile…
Which was more disturbing — sitting by the creek edge or a girl whispering to him? ;-P
Contributed to a giant balloon sculpture!
Shake Shack custard sample @ the Legacy West Grand Opening… The SS line itself was a joke.
Stand still at least for the pic?
Da OG…
Busted!
Concert by children’s author, Jim Gill. He was very entertaining and engaging!
Matcha cake from the Plano 85C Bakery… Too many opening too quickly.
Elephant and Piggie.
Grand Opening party at a local gourmet popsicle shop…
This Batman tattoo was fancy and glittery… And lasted for days.
It was hard getting him to share a bit with us…
So we split a dragon fruit bowl. :)
Tat in all its glory and rapidly diminishing pop. :))
With matching balloon!
Snow and crepes on Father’s Day.
Thanking the Lord for Daddy dessert. ;p
