Went to the Frisco Heritage Museum for their monthly open house and turkey pardon in November.

We also toured some of the historic structures.

We built this using a WeDo kit.

… And then zero pics on food coma day … It was nice to eat, drink and enjoy time with some family this year — it’s been awhile.

The day after, we got as far away from Black Friday madness as possible and took a day trip to Glen Rose. It’s apparently “dinosaur capital” of Texas and first stop was Dinosaur World.

Map in hand, this adventurer was ready to discover some dinosaurs!

Koi made Y think of his Mama’s pond at home. Tres Merrells. Y won a contest once by sending in a photo of his shoes dangling off Half Dome so he may enter this one. :)

Child tickets came with a fossil dig and he totally dug it!

You get to choose 4 fossils to keep. He selected 4 different shark fins.

They had some animatronics and other interesting exhibit cases inside the museum.

We lunched on packed leftovers outside and played HOURS on their playground.

We left pretty much when the park closed. There was just a bit of daylight left for us to check out Dinosaur Valley State Park across the street.

Real dinosaur tracks apparently were left in this area but a pretty formidable creek stood between us and the other side. Daddy carried E across. A dad with four kids took off all their shoes and got 3 of the 4 over on separate trips. The water was chilly!

It is heated times with first the election and now the preparation for the exchange of power to a new president.

There is much uncertainty. But we hold fast to Him. And pray. Not nearly enough!

For our little guy, it’s modus operandi — serious silliness all around. :) Undiscerning childhood naiveté, we’ll take some of that! Both of his wittle feet may hardly touch the ground simultaneously, but oddly, he does keep us grounded. :))

Batman got a lesson in the voting process.

First time at Festival at the Switchyard in Carrollton. All rides, games and activities were free and no lines, surprisingly. (Maybe because we went earlier in the day). E had a ton of fun.

Stumbled upon this family owned Cuban dulceria in the square with homebaked goods aplenty.

Since we were in the area, we stopped by Asia town for a new (to us) hot pot place and then coooooold patbingsu. Taiwanese snow is better. ;)

The Fantastic Four.

Our Heard Museum was expiring so we went one last time to see the dinosaur exhibit. Oh, did we mention that is going through a dinosaur craze? They had switched out the animatronics. The dinosaur eggs were a novelty.

Still a tad cautious of them but definitely not the fearfulness of before.

He sure knows how to scare Mama! There was a snake exhibit this time. Only Father and Son entered.

We might’ve hyped up E’s previous b-day party experience at Chuck E. Cheese so much that Uncle Dan wanted to celebrate his (along with Grandma’s) there, too.

Can’t tell who had more fun. :D

Then it rained tickets.

Uncle Ji (plus one) joined the festivities.

Then cuz Mommy is so nice and E was disappointed he didn’t get to play the Batman game at the location we went to and we had extra tokens (and… and… and…), we went to another one right next to his gymnastics the day after.

Nope, not tired of Chuck yet.

Wish these evening snuggles and chitchat will be a forever occurrence.

Lego build day at the library. He found this gem and was delighted. We asked to buy it from the librarian but no can do. :P

We went to a fundraiser for the local advocacy center. The character meet n’ greet line for Paw Patrol was insane! We kind of felt sorry for Pikachu and paid for a pic. :) (Good cause, right?)

The line for Batman was long-ish, too. E said he just wanted look from afar but once we got closer, we knew he just HAD to meet him. ;P

Guess that smile was worth lost hours in this life. Hehe.

Oh and happy big 10 to us! Yes, we are a decade old couple. ;-P We threw around some getaway ideas but in the end decided to celebrate low-key due to some schedule conflicts and responsibilities/deadlines. Plus, we’ve got some trips to come in the next few months…

Batman made an appearance at many a carnival, festival, trunk-or-treat. :)

For a different treat, Uncle Yu En rolled into town on Halloween (after his army reserve training at Fort Sill).

After bad mess hall food, Uncle requested lots o’ Texas meat.

Batman ended his “career” with mac-n-cheese. :)

But ya never know, he just might make a comeback one of these days. :))
