Hello, It’s Us

Last month, we had the privilege of meeting and welcoming the newest member of our family — Pui Yee, Uncle Jong’s wife. (And yes, her name rhymes with Yuee and is the same character in Chinese! Now we joke that Uncle Dan needs to follow in similar suit. Haha).

We took them around the Big D.

LE
… and picked up a kid along the way … hahaha.

LE
A “small” banquet meant a family reunion and doubled as a Chinese New Year celebration. (This was only a portion of the gang). PS: E hearts Uncle Ji!

We snuck away on one of the days E had school for some hiking and covered some unexplored trails down south… Followed by eating through Oak Cliff.

LE
And just like that, it was time to say goodbye. ‘Til next time, Uncle Jong and Auntie Pui Yee!

This boy has been partying hard. :)

V-Day party favor from school.

It was throngs of people at the CNY festival downtown. Daddy’s shoulders was the only way to see!

TWO National Froyo Day freebies went down. :)

Welcome, Baby Kayson! Doesn’t he look like a giant in comparison? Hard to imagine that once, not long ago, he was that small…

Weeee, Threeee

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss & Happy Texas Independence Day!

Oh and Happy Birthday, Son! :)))

This year has been all about fun as you’ve truly come to understand just what that means! Sooooooo many adventures and good times… w/ all the usual tough moments, growing pains and lessons to learn thrown in…

You are inquisitive, passionate, happy, curious, determined. We love your zest for life, the joy you find in simple things, the gleam in your eyes when you discover something new or interesting or accomplish a feat.

XOXOXO

We’re officially celebrating a bit later in the month as we’re off to Oregon — Mount Hood and Mount Bachelor, we’re coming for ya (for you know what!) with some hiking, sights, nature and road trippin’ in between. :)
