Baby Steps

… And he’s walking! Just like that. Cautiously, wobbly, steps at a time… We are somewhat fine with that. What happens when he’s REALLY all over the place?

In the meantime, E has been “working out” at Gymboree regularly. :) And boy, does he have LOTS of energy to burn. :))

Can someone please tell us why he’s still drooling? ;P Bibs are affecting his wardrobe. LOL.

E has also been enjoying time with uncles… Uncle Yu En came for a short visit so it was lots of stroller time while uncle shopped til he dropped, dining out, and golf exposure galore.

Top Golf was an experience.

Driving, S’pore/British style. Watching too much Top Gear with Daddy.

‘Til next time, Uncle, when we see cousins Xander and the soon-to-come twins!

This month we’re getting ready for Grandparents Ong to come for a visit and then a trip to Portland together. Time to get our hipster on.

Busy Bodies

What a truckin’ last few weeks!

Grandparents + Auntie Glo were in town for {a mere} 10 days so we were out and about a bit more than usual. We enjoyed precious family time, especially getting to celebrate Easter together. With the short stay, it was a blur of a whirlwind but much cherished, nonetheless. :)

We made a trip out to Ennis for the bluebonnets! Daddy is so proud of the first photo. :) Caption: “MOOOMMM and DAAAAAAD, don’t make me pose with FLOWERRRSSSSS.” It was funny that he actually was a bit scared of the bluebonnets — we’re guessing it was his first time to encounter these “foreign objects”. The other noticeable peculiarity: Uncle Jong’s face mask. He’s been FOB-ularized. :D (Hopefully he’ll be back to “normal” after his four month visit — J/K!).

Daddy’s milestone birthday (hehe, let’s just leave it at he entered a new decade!) and Mother’s Day came and went with the three of us sneezy, stuffy and watery-eyed in allergies. :( It was a quiet weekend of much needed rest. We decided to snap a photo in similar position/pose from last year. How Elias has grown! And so have we… hopefully more inside than outside. ;P

And a few more randoms of E…

Lately

Guess we are done with the month-by-month photo sessions. Maybe we’ll post more often than once a month now. ;) Maybe.

So here’s some random stuff that’s been happening…

We decided it was time for E’s first {real} haircut after he turned 1. (Hehe, this is what happened the first time). Cool Cuts 4 Kids apparently got fairly good reviews so we took him for a visit. They even saved a few locks of his hair for us. :)

It was off to Jackson Hole, Wyoming for some snowboarding! Mountains, it’s been awhile!!! E went to “Wrangler” camp, which he seemed to enjoy, and we hit the slopes. Y hopes to start him in ski school next year. Haha. Jackson Hole is beautiful country and the people so welcoming and nice — we shall return soon!

Guests were surprised to find a bear in the hotel lobby. :)) The evening plane ride really wiped him out! Of course he decided not to fall asleep until the moment we land. The morning flight back was much better — he slept almost the whole time.

It had been two years since we went to Firefly Run, one of our clients, so it was fun going again — this time with a son! It was also neat to see how the race has grown and evolved over the last 5 years. Y flew with baby in the BOB… Every time he started to slow down, E would protest in his baby talk as if to say, “FASTER!”. :) G ran a 5K PR sans Garmin. The highlight, though, was entering E in the costume contest. He came in the top 5 and made an appearance on stage. The speakers were blaring so he was a bit startled but other than that, didn’t have any stage fright. ;-P We were just happy he got to wear his Halloween costume (plus some lights) more than once. Ha!

The following week, Daddy & Son came to cheer Mommy at mile 22 and the finish line at a marathon! Got talked into it while helping a friend train — didn’t expect to place and BQ. It was 26.2 miles of feeling blessed to get to run as this time last year, Mommy was still recovering from childbirth! So to the child belong the spoils? And since the weather has been spring-like (minus the occasional storms and HUGE HAIL one time), E has been hanging out on the sidelines of Daddy’s ultimate games. :) He is quite vocal!

And here we are just chillaxing/driving/swingin’ ’round town. :)
