.5 year old, he is!
This week Elias went on his first (day) trip to Glen Rose for the Scenic Wildlife Drive and he did great! Lots of animals were spotted and he’ll probably have no recollection of any of them. ;-P And dundundun… the other big milestone — SOLIDS! E’s first “big people food”: avocado. He seemed ambivalent (neither liked nor disliked) but ate up when fed. AND drank his first liquid (water) besides Mama’s milk from a sippy. :) We’ll be trying out one new food a week and see how it goes.
So here’s what our sweet pea is looking like these days:
And Mommy’s getting older tomorrow… :\
Can’t believe it’s been another month! Where does the time go?
Elias’ 5-month Stats: 15lbs 4oz // 26.75 long // 16.75 head circumference. He really is such a happy, easygoing, cheerful, mellow little guy. There are times we wish grandparents were here… But this just means we have him all to ourselves. Haha. He gets to tag along everywhere with us — runs/walks in the park, the ultimate field, get-togethers, church, errands, semi-date nights, grocery store, even a few client meetings and conference calls. :)
Looks like E has hijacked our blog. ;-)
It’s odd to say that about a four-month-old but at the rate babies grow their first year, maybe not really! We’re already reminiscing his “early days” but having a blast as he discovers everything around him. :)
So, in preparation for our monthly photo sitting, we decided to change Elias into a white onesie. And of course, not so long after, he’ll have the biggest blowout evarrr. Okay, no problem, we’ll just change him into another white onesie. And what do you know… blowout #2. (See previous post’s final comments — enough said!). Finally, we gave up and just let him wear Y’s fave muscle (“wife-beater”) shirt. ;-)
Here’s the little (big now!) dude:
Prepping him to come join some of our favorite activities:
And just lovin’ our precious, smiley boy:
